THE BIRTH OF A CONSCIOUS BUILDING: CPI HUNGARY CONSTRUCTS A HUMAN CENTERED, ECO-FRIENDLY OFFICE BUILDING ON VÁCI ÚT

Oasis in the metropolis

The handover of Balance Hall, the new wing and an integral part of the existing buildings of Balance Office Park on Váci út, is scheduled for the end of 2019. The brand new office building is designed to fulfill all 21st-century requirements.  Spacious, modern interior areas; user-friendly and ecological high-tech solutions; sustainability and a multitude of conveniences. This is what Balance Hall can offer to its future tenants on a floor area of 15,520 m2.

CPI Hungary is the first to introduce the notion of “conscious buildings” in Hungary

When designing buildings, CPI Hungary actively promotes that tenants, operators, and visitors use their environment consciously. One of the greatest challenges of the 21th century for us is to learn to live in our environment respecting it and use the technological benefits and love it at the same time. The management, engineers, and experts of CPI Hungary believe that we borrow the Earth from the next generation, and our duty is to live guided by these principles. This motivates them to design, construct, and renovate buildings that not only fulfill all global and European environmental protection standards theoretically and bureaucratically, but that are also able to react to environmental and weather changes quickly, taking advantage of the consequent energy saving opportunities. In order to ensure that the conscious buildings developed by it are operated appropriately and are saving as much energy as possible, CPI Hungary operate its buildings itself, continuously monitoring them with the help of its experts and the smart systems designed by them. These systems allow the conscious building to react to external or internal events in only a few hours.

“We strive to motivate the tenants and visitors of the building to use environmental resources more consciously and more economically. For this, we install easy-to-understand and easy-to-operate technologies that provide immediate feedback to the building’s users about current electricity consumption levels, for example,” says Gyula Győri, CPI Hungary Facility Management Director about the concept of conscious buildings. “This makes the difference compared to other eco-friendly office buildings or shopping centers in Hungary.”

Since the very first moment of the design phase, the developers of CPI Hungary have considered it their primordial task to maximally satisfy not only the professional but also the human needs of future tenants. The office work of the tenants is helped by the flexibly dividable and efficiently designable indoor layout, as well as by the conference hall within the park area. Cost-effective operation, conscious application of sustainable and modern technologies, and competitive prices all suggest for tenants committed to development to choose this convenient, people-centered, and likeably modern building constructed in one of the most dynamically developing parts of the city. The location of the campus-like building complex is also unique: It is clearly visible from Váci út but is also more separated and silent; its park with old sycamore trees offers a viable and enjoyable time both for work and free-time activities.

The services of Balance Hall will provide a more comfortable office life and an optimal use of free time.  The green oasis around the buildings will be extended, the existing park will be completed by further relaxation and sports opportunities. In Balance Office Park, located along the Váci corridor, tenants can use outdoor meeting spaces with Wi-Fi access, recreational spaces, petanque fields, and ping pong tables on a total of 3,000 square meters, and informal events can also be organized in the park.

Thanks to its central location, the office park is easily accessible by public transport or car, and the cycle storage installations and showers available on the site offer an alternative to health-conscious tenants. Restaurants, coffee shops, a grocery and a temporary farmers’ market will ensure diversified catering options to people working within the establishment area.
