On 3 October 2019, CPI Hungary was first in the Hungarian real property market to receive the certification which entitles to use Access4You trademark for one year. A major part of the company’s portfolio, as well as Campona and Pólus Shopping Centres are among the buildings of CPI Hungary which received the trademark.
During the qualification, compliance and performance of buildings are evaluated according to a strict international methodology. The office and commercial portfolio of CPI Hungary with a total surface of almost 295,000 m2 was audited according to the needs of people with special needs. People with special needs include people in wheelchair, people with reduced mobility, elderly, pregnant women (or women with baby carriage), people who are deaf or hard of hearing, blind and partially sighted people, as well as people with cognitive deficiencies.
According to Mátyás Gereben, country manager of CPI Hungary, nowadays it should be a basic requirement to ensure free movement for people with disabilities in real properties owned by them.
Balázs Berecz, founder of Access4You added that their company placed particular emphasis on the assessment of locations and premises necessary for everyday life, taking into account the interests of people with disabilities.
Access4You considers human dignity and freedom its basic principles, and believes that people with special needs should have the same life as everyone else, as allowed by their circumstances. According to the company, special needs shall not be a separating but an integrative purpose.
